Wing mirror removal??

Postby Dave Murphy » Sun Feb 17, 2002 22:46

My wing mirrors are starting to look a little "pinkish" at the moment
I`ve had a look at how to remove them and are still non the wiser :( I will respray them if i can remove the darn things! Is it a case of removing all the interior panel so you get access? Or is there a much simpler method of getting them off?
cheers,
dave

It is amazing easy actually.

Just unclip the covers at the bottom where they meet the door, they come off downwards, pretty easy. Then there are two screws and thats it, easy

Hey thanks for the advice Thomas :P

I will spend a lazy Sunday afternoon removing them, and giving them a makeover :!: I wish i had your weather as it`s just turning into summer in oz isn`t it? How many cappo`s are there down under? I have a twin in australia (byron bay) and she said she saw a cappo about a month ago; and it reminded her of home
Congratulations on the aussi ice-skating phenomenon too! Not only do you whop us at cricket, swimming, darts but you even rule on the ice!
Cheers for the advice

Yeah weather is great here ATM, not too hot a summer so far too which is nice.

How many are here? good question. Some people have said only around 50-100 but I'm pretty sure there are a lot more than that as there are some big importers in the eastern states who have brought in a lot i think. Probably a few hundred basically. In the whole country in the trading post (biggest car advertiser in aust i think) there are between 1 and 4 or 5 a week generally. So there are a few, but lots of people don't know what they are or haven't heard of them. I rarely see others around here in adelaide - not sure that i've even seen one actually (aside from an arranged meeting with someone who is in score), but there are a few around.
