Air Conditioning problem - new condenser?

Can anyone help with an aircon problem?
The aircon has never worked, so I got all the washers renewed and then the system charged. BUT it won't hold a charge. The leak has been traced to the condenser
Apparently there are 2 condensers one for £250 and one for £450
My cap is an import so it's probably the more expensive one... Can I
a. get the old one repaired?
b. buy the cheaper condenser and fit that
c. get a 2nd hand one?

I recently had the air con on one of my Cappuccinos recharged.
This is also an import and recharged with R134.
The man who did the job is located in Essex and is an expert in air conditioning and runs his own air con company as a one man band.
He mentioned that the condensers on Capps are a weak point and therefore maybe you should ring him and explain your problem . He may be able to fix it.
He is a very helpful and knowledgable person. (No Bullshit)
