Can anybody help me with this dashboard icon please.

It came on just now as I was driving home but I don't have a handbook. I drove the last few miles really slow.

It is the check engine light.

I believe you have to short something or move a fuse and it will blink and give you a code which indicates the problem. Check the online manual and it'll give you instructions and the codes.

You haven't got a speed demiliter on it have you? because cutting the speed sensor wire will probably do it

Thanks. So that's the mythical Check Engine light! :roll:

I've got a Service Manual, so I should be able to look up the procedure for discovering the fault code in there somewhere. :looney:

Most likely not. They sometimes might just come up because of a bad connection or something, and after clearing it might never see it again
