I have just had a letter from the AA asking me, as Club Secretary, to gauge interest on possible offering to SCORE members an ongoing discount for be a part of the AA Motor Club Scheme.
For every UK SCORE member who signs up to the scheme (there are 3 packages available, detailed below, with special Motor Club prices as quoted) the club centrally gets a 10% commission.
Please read the following detail of each package and if there is one that would be of interest please vote for it (or not).
Based on this immediate sample response, SCORE will proceed or not with this to all members in the next national communication

Option 200: Single cover - £68, Joint cover - £87, Family cover - £125
Includes Roadside, Relay, free 5 star 72 hour European breakdown assistance
You save £12 off the standard prices

Option 300: Single cover - £94, Joint cover - £115, Family cover - £155
Option 200 services plus Home Start, at or within .25 mile from your home
You save £17 off the standard prices

Option 400: Single cover - £118, Joint cover - £141, Family cover - £183
Option 300 services plus Relay Plus, which extends Relay to provide either a replacement car (up to 48 hours), overnight accommodation or onward travel arrangements if a prompt local repair after a roadside breakdown is not possible
You save £21 off the standard price

Single - covers you in any car as driver or passenger
Joint - entitles one other person, living at the same home address to the same breakdown services as single cover
Family - extends joint cover to two other family members (under 21 and living at home); this can even include young children who travel in other cars as passengers

Would be interested but I've recently renewed my insurance and have similar cover combined (RAC); if available next renewal I'd consider changing.

We have family cover plus home start for about £115. This is coming up for renewal in June so I would be intrested as RAC might not be value for money anymore
