Hello everyone. I need a little bit of clarification regarding where the Cappuccino was manufactured in Japan. Here's why I'm confused .....
I'm going to get the Cappo serviced at my nearest Suzuki main dealer (Osborne Park Suzuki) because the previous place I had it serviced has now closed down! When I called in at reception, I was first told that as Cappo's were never officially imported into Australia, they had to look it up and asked me whether I could provide some ID for my car. Here's what I gave them.....the VIN is EA21R-103970; and the Engine No. is K6A1104055.
Then they said that the VIN supplied should be 17 characters long; and that is when I discovered a long number (6T91MPAAAVYETU001) in the documentation and forwarded that to them. And that was when they told me that it's for a Toyota made in Australia or New Zealand; citing that 6 as one of these two countries and T for Toyota!
Can anyone shed any light on this, please? Listening to the Warranty Administrator at the dealership, I was under the impression that Cappo's were made under licensed by Toyota which I'm sure was never the case in the first place .....
