I've just had a great idea. Wouldn't it be nice to let each other know just how <beautiful | humongous> we are but also to assist in recognition at events.
Please post your own pictures in replies to this, and feel free to add a qualifying comment/caption to aid recognition - or merely to apologise
Inclusion of Cappo would be nice but isn't mandatory.
Here's the process -
- You will need a digital photo, i.e. one taken with a digital camera or scanned with a scanner.
- Crop and compress your picture. I use Photoshop but there are many other good programs at much lower prices, some of which come with digital cameras. Use JPEG (jpg) compression and keep size down to 20 kBytes or less.
- Upload picture to a web space (e.g. as provided by your ISP) using a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client (e.g. Cute FTP under Windows, or Fetch on the Mac).
- Test out your uploaded picture by displaying it in your browser (you need to know how to compose the URL in accordance with your provider's rules), then copy the URL onto the clipboard.
- Reply to this post, paste in the URL, then highlight it and click the Img button to add [img]...[/img] tags.
- Add comment/caption below picture.
- Test your post using Preview and adjust as necessary.
- Submit
